TARC focuses on increasing business opportunities for DBEs
July 18, 2022At TARC, we believe in order to provide our services effectively and efficiently to everyone in the community, we need a supplier base with diverse backgrounds and experiences that reflects our entire community. That’s why we have a goal to even the playing field by providing small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals a fair opportunity to compete for federally funded transportation procurements and contracts. In the last federal fiscal year, TARC’s goal was 11%; we hope to exceed that number this year.
We are inviting the supplier community and local agency partners to review TARC’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program and goals on Friday, July 22 at 1:30 pm EST. To participate in the meeting, please email Director of Procurement and DBE Liaison Officer Maria Harris at procurement@ridetarc.org with “TARC DBE Program Meeting” in the subject line. You will receive a follow-up email with Zoom meeting instructions.
TARC has many opportunities for DBE vendors and suppliers to participate in bidding on construction services, rolling stock bus purchase, bus maintenance repair and replacement parts or material supplies, professional services, operations and management, and architectural and engineering services.
