TARC 2025: MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER
TARC 2025:
MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER
The TARC 2025 Concepts survey is closed. Information from the TARC 2025 Concepts Survey will be used to inform the TARC 2025 draft proposals, expected in early 2025. If you would like more information on TARC 2025 or to set up a briefing for your organization, please contact us at TARC2025@RideTarc.org
TARC connects our community to jobs, schools, medical appointments, shopping, entertainment and to each other. We take this responsibility very seriously and are committed to providing exceptional service.
However, TARC is facing historic financial challenges and a looming deficit. Action must be taken now to ensure the system’s long-term sustainability.
TARC 2025: Moving Forward Together is a key strategy to address this challenge and better meet our shared priorities. It is also an important opportunity to redesign Louisville’s transit network to update and innovate service to better match the current and future needs of the Louisville region.
Through this year-long initiative, we will work directly with the community to develop strategies for an updated TARC transit network that will better meet the region’s needs and priorities within the reality of the funding TARC expects to receive over the next 5-10 years.
Public input will drive TARC 2025 – this is YOUR plan. The comments we received from the public will play a key role as we develop strategies for restructuring our network and services and help us make decisions about next steps. Our first public engagement phase, including the online survey, has concluded. Thank you to everyone who attended a public meeting, spoke to us a bus pop-up event and/or completed our survey. The project team will report back to the community soon with the results of the public’s input surrounding the concepts. Be sure to check back for the updates and you can expect our next major round of public engagement to start in January when we have a Draft Plan.
TARC 2025 will reshape public transit in the Louisville region. We’re excited to be working with you as we move forward, together.
Thank you for your interest. The concepts survey was open July 30-September 20. We expect our next round of public engagement to start in January.
